Feed to Succeed and Teams Elite – a new partnership!

Feed to Succeed is proud to announce our new sponsorship of Teams Elite synchronized skating club, out of Northbrook, Illinois!

Synchronized skating is a team sport made up of 8-20 skaters, who perform a program on ice that is made up of complicated footwork, formations, spins and lifts. The sport has been increasing in popularity, with many skaters hoping it will soon be added to the Olympic games. The athletes who participate in synchronized skating require strength, agility, speed and grace, all of which can be enhanced and improved by well-planned sports nutrition.

Betsy Hjelmgren, owner of Feed to Succeed, has supported and fed her daughter, skater Alyssa Hjelmgren, who is on the Teams Elite junior team, a team that was appointed Team USA beginning in the 2019-2020 season.

Feed to Succeed not only provides financial support to Teams Elite, but sports nutrition guidance as well. With lessons on macronutrients, hydration, pre- and post- exercise fueling, and more; the skaters on Teams Elite are given the opportunity to truly excel and maximize their training both on and off the ice.

To hear more from the skaters themselves, tune in to this podcast where five Teams Elite skaters share what they have learned about nutrition while on the road to a synchro practice during the 2019-2020 season.
