Feed to Succeed registered dietitians work with dozens of early intervention (EI) patients each month. Early intervention provides government support for therapies for children up to age 3, including nutrition consultations. Children who have their needs met at this young age are able to maximize their potential.
While nutrition wasn’t always a part of the early intervention program, we can account for why it must be. Children with developmental delays or those who battle childhood illnesses must first address nutrition before conquering other therapies. We work closely with children who needs occupational therapy to learn to sit up or walk to ensure they have strength from a nutritional diet. Many EI patients have an aversion to food or trouble swallowing, and we work with families to overcome these obstacles.
Our EI appointments take place in the comfort of the patient’s home.
