Not just for kids! Substituting milk for part of the water in this recipe adds protein and calcium. The protein will keep you fuller for longer, and the calcium is important for developing bones.
2 cups Old fashioned rolled oats
2 ½ cups Milk
1 cup Water
¼ tsp Salt
½ tsp Cinnamon
1 tsp Vanilla Extract

Combine oats, milk, water, salt and cinnamon in a 2 quart saucepan.

Heat over medium-low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture starts to boil.

Reduce heat and simmer, 5 minutes.

Remove from heat. Add vanilla extract.

Garnish with fresh banana slices or brown sugar. Serve.
